After completing a project, submerge the paint-soaked bristles of your brush into water and rinse thoroughly for a duration of one minute. After rinsing, soak in water up to the edge of the paint line, or at the most, the ferrule. Once it has soaked for 30 minutes, the paint will loosen and fall off the bristles, saving time during the rinsing process. It is essential to rinse and change the water until it runs clear. Additionally, brush soap can be utilized during the rinsing process to clean the bristles further.

The brush should be left to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid hastening the drying process by exposing the brush to heat from a radiator or using a cloth to dry it. Restoring the bristles to their original shape can be achieved by wrapping them in foil or film or using the hole in the handle to hang the brush for drying.

Using a minimal amount of brush soap every other brush cleaning conditions natural bristles and removes paint from synthetic ones. If paint remains within the brush and dries, the bristles will stiffen as the paint acts as glue. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that all paint is removed from the brush before allowing it to dry.
